# What You'll Need:
→ Pancake Batter
01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 1/4 cups milk
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus additional for cooking
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
→ Decoration
10 - 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
11 - 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
12 - 1 banana, sliced
13 - 8 large marshmallows
14 - 1/4 cup whipped cream
15 - 8 fresh strawberries, halved
16 - 1/4 cup colorful sprinkles
17 - 1/4 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread, such as Nutella
18 - 1/4 cup peanut butter or sunflower seed butter (optional)
# Steps to Follow:
01 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly blended.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk milk, large eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
03 - Pour the wet mixture over dry ingredients and gently stir until just incorporated; avoid overmixing, as a few lumps are fine.
04 - Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and brush lightly with butter to coat the surface.
05 - Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the hot skillet. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and edges begin to set, about 2 minutes. Flip and continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes longer, until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
06 - Arrange pancakes on serving plates. Use banana slices and marshmallows to create eyes, chocolate chips or blueberries for pupils, strawberry halves or whipped cream for mouths, and decorate with sprinkles, chocolate spread, or nut butters for additional monster features.
07 - Present immediately with extra syrup on the side, if desired, and encourage creativity with decorations.
