→ Superfoods & Flavorings

04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
05 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger)
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
07 - 1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)

→ Sweetener (Optional)

08 - 1 to 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or honey, to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Place mango, banana, coconut water (or almond milk), turmeric, ginger, lime juice, and chia seeds (if using) into a high-speed blender.
02 - Blend until smooth and creamy. Add additional coconut water if consistency is too thick.
03 - Taste the blend and add maple syrup or honey if additional sweetness is desired.
04 - Pour smoothie into two glasses and garnish with sliced mango, coconut flakes, or a light sprinkle of turmeric as desired. Serve immediately.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It tastes like tropical sunshine without any of the artificial sweetness or heavy cream.
  • The turmeric and ginger sneak in wellness benefits without tasting medicinal or earthy.
  • You can blend it in under five minutes and it feels like you did something good for yourself.
02 -
  • Do not skip the lime juice, it makes the whole thing taste alive instead of flat and too sweet.
  • If your blender is not very powerful, let frozen mango sit out for five minutes first so you do not burn out the motor.
  • Turmeric stains everything it touches, so wipe up spills immediately and do not wear white while making this.
03 -
  • Add a tiny pinch of black pepper to help your body absorb the turmeric better, it sounds strange but you will not taste it.
  • If your mango is too tart, the banana will balance it out, so do not add sweetener until you taste the final blend.
  • For a tropical twist, replace half the coconut water with fresh orange juice and it tastes like sunshine in a glass.
